Materials
- 2 cups dried beans
- 3 onions
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- 3 tomatoes
- 2 green peppers
- 1 yellow bell pepper
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon of chili paste
- Salt
For the above
- 7~8 slices of bacon
- Fresh thyme
How to Make Baked Beans with Pastrami?
Take the beans you have kept in water overnight in a pot. Add enough water to cover it by 2-3 inches and boil it until it remains slightly firm. Saute the chopped onion and crushed garlic in butter until they turn pink. Add diced tomatoes, finely diced green peppers, diced colored peppers, tomato paste and dried beans that you boiled and strained and season with salt. Add a glass of hot water and cook until the beans are soft and remove from the stove. Add the coarsely chopped bacon and bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 7-8 minutes. Serve hot garnished with fresh thyme.
