German Bread Recipe

Materials 

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups 7 grain flour
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 1 packet of instant yeast
  • 2.5-3 glasses of warm water

  • 2 liters of water
  • 2 tablespoons of baking soda

  • Sesame
  • black cumin

How to Make German Bread Recipe?

  • Mix the flours and instant yeast in a large mixing bowl. Add water little by little and knead until you get a smooth dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise for 30 minutes.
  • Knead the fermented dough lightly to remove air, divide it into tangerine-sized pieces and roll them. Lightly sprinkle flour on a large kitchen napkin and place the rolled breads on the napkins, spaced apart. Cover them with a damp cloth and leave them for another 50-60 minutes to ferment.
  • Boil water and baking soda in a large pot. Throw your risen breads into boiling water one by one and boil for 30 seconds. Remove it from the water using a colander and place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Sprinkle sesame seeds and black cumin seeds before the dough dries. Bake in a preheated 200 degree oven until golden brown.
