11 Movies Will Be Released This Week

This week, 11 films, 5 of which are local, will be released in theaters in Turkey.

“Honey cream”

The movie "Bal Kaymak", directed by Onur Tan and starring Tarık Ünlüoğlu, will meet with moviegoers.

Sabina Toziya, Beren Gökyıldız, Ömer Tan, Kenan Çoban, Melissa Yıldırımer, Yunus Emre Yıldırımer and Filiz Ahmet also starred in the movie; It tells the story of a little girl who is torn between her grumpy grandfather, who produces the best honey in the world, and her resentful grandmother, who makes the best cream in the world.

The music of the film, whose script belongs to Onur Tan, is by Yıldıray Gürgen.

"Cherry season"

"Cherry Season", directed by Durmuş Akbulut, deals with the events that develop when a young man, who thinks that the town where he lives with his father does not allow him to realize his dreams, starts working in the mine.

Written and directed by Fuat Yılmaz, "Cemetery" brings to the big screen the story of a man who lost his family and seeks revenge for this.

“Deadpool 2”

Directed by David Leitch; Starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Josh Brolin, TJ Miller, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Zazie Beetz, Bill Skarsgard, Terry Crews, Rob Delaney and Julian Dennison, "Deadpool 2" will attract action and comedy enthusiasts to movie theaters.

The sequel, in which Ryan Reynolds plays his beloved character again, is about the adventures of Deadpool, who gathers his own superhero team against Cable from the future.

“The Art of Picking Up Girls at Parties”

"The Art of Picking Up Girls at Parties" is a film adaptation of Neil Gaiman's work "How To Talk To Girls At Parties", which was first a short story and later turned into a graphic novel with the drawings of Gabriel Bave and Fabio Moon brothers. It tells the story of two young people who meet at a party and the time they spend together.

Directed by John Cameron Mitchell, the film stars Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning, Ruth Wilson, Alex Sharp, Stephen Campbell Moore and Alice Sanders.

Starring Morgan Freeman, Rene Russo and Tommy Lee Jones, "We've Just Begun" is about the rivalry between a young man who is loved by his customers and a man who is in good shape compared to his age.

This week, for the first time, some award-winning short films will be released as a selection in Turkey. 5 different films that have won or been nominated for many awards such as Oscar and Cannes will have the chance to be screened together.

The short films that will be released are as follows:

Belgian production “Death of a Shadow”, Austrian production “Everything Will Be Okay” and “Miracle Fish”, French animation “French Roast” and Lebanese film “Waves '98”.
