Cake is one of the most loved and popular desserts around the world. It is among the favorite desserts of many people with its soft texture, delicious aroma and various taste options. Cakes, which are preferred for breakfasts, lunches, special occasions or just as a snack with a tea or coffee, can be prepared with a wide variety of recipes and different ingredients.

Cakes are usually made from dough made by mixing basic ingredients such as flour, sugar, eggs, oil and baking powder. Various flavors can be obtained by optionally adding milk, yoghurt, cocoa, fruit purees or flavors to this basic dough. The taste and texture of the cakes can be enriched by adding ingredients such as chocolate chips, fruits, nuts or hazelnuts.

The baking methods of the cakes may also differ. Cakes that are usually baked in the oven form a golden crust, indicating that the dough inside is cooked. The toothpick test is a frequently used method to check whether the cake is fully cooked. If a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center of the cake, the cake is fully baked.

Cakes can be served in many different ways. They are decorated by sprinkling powdered sugar or pouring glaze on them. In addition, a more flamboyant appearance can be obtained by covering it with cream or whipped cream. Cakes that are also decorated with ingredients such as fruits, chocolate chips or coconut are also visually appealing.
