Another win from undefeated leader VakıfBank
VakıfBank continues its undefeated leadership in the 2023-2024 Vodafone Sultans League season. The yellow-blacks managed to defeat Nilüfer Belediyespor 3-1 in the 6th league match.
VakıfBank, Turkey's team that has won the most international trophies, continues to make a strong start to the new season. The yellow-blacks continued their undefeated leader title by winning their 6th match in the Vodafone Sultans League, after starting the season with the victory in the AXA Sigorta Champions Cup.
VakıfBank hosted Nilüfer Belediyespor at VakıfBank Sports Palace and won the first set 25-16. Although the yellow-blacks converted 3 set points in the second set, Nilüfer Belediyespor brought the score to 1-1 with a score of 25-22. VakıfBank won the third set 25-16, and completed the last set 25-19 and won the match 3-1.
VakıfBank's captain Gabi was the top scorer of his team with 17 points; Chiaka Ogbogu reached double digits with 14 points, Jordan Thompson with 13 points and Zehra Güneş with 11 points.
