Kaspersky has released Kaspersky Safe Kids with its updated version. Thanks to this revamped digital parenting app, kids can now just click to request extra device time. Parents no longer need to manually add additional time in the Settings menu. Instead, approving the request, setting additional time limits or rejecting it can be done through a simple notification. This feature aims to make communication between parents and children quick and easy.

Kaspersky Safe Kids' new feature makes screen time management easier with just one click.

With the updated Kaspersky Safe Kids app, kids can use the app's home screen to request extra device time. When a child makes a request, parents receive a notification about the request, which directs them to the 'Request' section. Children do not need to specify the time period they should request, because parents can choose the appropriate time period themselves. There are also helpful infographics for parents on the home screen showing statistics about extra time.

This new feature is available when both parents and children have Android devices or only adults have iOS devices. In the future, this feature will be expanded to make simple time requests available on any device running iOS. Additionally, kids will be able to request extra time from their Mac and Windows devices.

Kaspersky Turkey General Manager İlkem Özar says: “Given the fact that children have their own devices, controlling screen time is an essential feature for effective digital parenting. When developing Kaspersky Safe Kids, we constantly take into account the needs of both parents and children. With updates, requesting extra device time has now become easier for both parents and children. We believe that digitizing this task will make communication between adults and children easier and less stressful.
