How to Make Mastic Ice Cream Recipe
- Put the milk and mastic gum in a deep pot. Boil, stirring occasionally. When the milk starts to boil, add granulated sugar and salep. Stirring, boil over low heat for another 10-15 minutes and remove from the stove.
- Cool the milk by stirring occasionally and pour it into a deep container with a lid. Put the container in the freezer and freeze for an hour. Since the edges of the ice cream will freeze and the middle will remain more liquid, stir occasionally to ensure that all sides freeze evenly.
- Mix and freeze in this way every one hour. Leave it in the freezer for 5 hours. Serve garnished with currants and coconut.
