Baked Beans with Bacon Recipe

Materials

  • 2 cups dried beans
  • 3 onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1 bell yellow pepper
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper paste
  • Salt

For the above

  • 7~8 slices of bacon
  • Fresh thyme

How to Make Baked Beans with Bacon?

Take the beans that you soaked in water overnight in a pot. Add enough water to cover it by 2-3 fingers and boil until it remains slightly firm. Saute the chopped onion and crushed garlic in butter until they turn pink. Add the diced tomatoes, finely chopped green peppers, diced colored peppers, tomato paste and boiled and drained beans and season with salt. Add a glass of hot water and cook until the beans become soft, then remove from the stove. Add the coarsely chopped bacon and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 7-8 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with fresh thyme.
