Materials
- 1 whole chicken
- 12 onions
- 1 lemon
- fresh ginger
- 400 g coconut milk
For marination:
- 150 g yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon grated tomato
- 1 teaspoon hot pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 6 cloves of garlic
- Half-finger-sized piece of ginger (Put it in a food processor with crushed garlic)
- Salt

- Mix the marinade ingredients with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper. Rub the chicken thoroughly with the sauce you prepared. Let the chicken rest in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Place the finely chopped onions, halved lemon and thickly sliced fresh ginger into a deep baking dish.
- Place the chicken in the middle of the ingredients. Roast in the oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. After the chicken is cooked, place it in a serving bowl and cover it with aluminum foil. Throw the ginger in your baking dish. Put the sauce in the bowl through the processor along with the onion. Add coconut milk and bring to a boil. Serve with chicken.
