Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theaters brought together the event titled "I Was Responsible for the Daffodil", prepared and directed by Emre Koyuncuoğlu, inspired by Gülten Akın's poems, with art lovers.
The show titled "Istanbul Meets Poetry", held at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center Interexpo Hall on Monday, October 30, 2023, was greatly appreciated by the audience.
Gülten Akın's Poetry Universe Brought to the Stage
Thanks to the stage performance, where decor, costume, music and visual design came together in cooperation with the director and actors, the audience experienced the event in an atmosphere specific to Gülten Akın's poetry universe.
- "I Was Responsible for the Daffodil", which stood out among the signing days, interviews and other events held within the scope of the International Istanbul Book Fair, opened the doors of Gülten Akın's poetry world to the audience through theatre.
In the event adapted and directed by Emre Koyuncuoğlu, actors such as Radife Baltaoğlu, Sevil Akı, Yeşim Koçak, Işıl Zeynep Karaalp, Şirin Asutay, Ebru Üstüntaş and Elvan Boran took part.
Stage and costume design was by Ahsen Nur Yaman, lighting design by Mustafa Türkoğlu, and live music by Aydın Yıldız and Altuğ Kutluğ. Göksel Arslan and Asrın Gurur Kuyucak also served as assistants at the event.
